Latin, Samba and Progressive elements all converge into one sound with Sevag’s new single, “The Heat” The layered piano melody, so common in straight progressive house tracks, half way through the song was a nice touch.
This is a complete and astonishing track that has all the characteristics of a hit song. Wildstylez an icon and a Hardstyle pioneer knows exactly how to put together a song that will make you listen to it again and again. Hit play and automatically the melody will prepare you for what is going to be an explosion of vigorous yet soothing bass lines. The key to an entertaining track is its build up and Wildstylez makes no mistake here.
In this new, hot track by Dirty South, a Pete Tong Essential Tune, Unbreakable, Dirty South creates a beautiful blend of dance, trance, and melodic music. The song starts off with having a very light, melodic background noise, later introducing the vocals, who follow a similar style as Coldplay. As the lyrics build, the baseline grows stronger, introducing more and more instruments as the chorus progresses. The drop has a very light melody with a heavy focus on the trance genre.
“Unbreakable” Out August 2014
Born in Serbia, raised in Australia, Dirty South’s life has caused him to travel all over, also making him a very well-rounded individual, especially in his music. With this new hit single, Unbreakable, Dirty South is seeking out to release an album later this year, spanning many different genres. Dirty South is very talented at blending different genres and making them compatible to one another, in one single track.

Another Tomorrowland Anthem from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike!
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and W&W have finally release the track that you most likely heard at least a couple times at Tomorrowland 2014, “Waves” The big room track is not necessarily a trail-brazer when it comes to originality but, the melody is definitely something that will stick in your head if you listen to it. I personally enjoyed the change up in the melody near the end, it was a nice touch and an ear-palette cleanser.
Break out the fake Native American apparel and feathers (like the ones in the cover), Tony Junior and Baggi Begovic’s new release will bring out the Plur Warrior in all of us.
The Doorn records release, “Plur Warriors”, is a mix between Big Room and Latin with heavy Tribal elements that give the track a nice feel. Like Knife Party, I think this track sound great but, the sample isn’t all that. The general feel of the song makes up for the sample, which tries too much to be like “Wakanda” from Dimitri Mike & Like Vegas.

W&W announced a Hardstyle track awhile ago but, the wait is now over… well kind of.
The duo teamed up with Hardstyle producer Headhunterz to create “Shocker”, a House track with a Hardstyle kick “Housestyle” When I first heard of the collab, I imagined something like this but, not as slow. The overall sound of “Shocker” is insane (I personally enjoyed it), it’ll be a hit at Festivals and shows for whoever plays it but, Hardstyle fans might have a hard time accepting this track. In essence, it’s a Big Room track powered by Hardstyle — a great transitional track for those accustomed to everyday EDM wanting to get into Hardstyle.
Still no word on the exact release date.

Three guys known as the producer trio, Disciples, have created an positive deep house remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy Mercy Me” Keeping elements from the original song, the Disciples’ real addition to the remix was the catchy upbeat, borderline tropical, melody that will surely be stuck in your head. Best of all, the remix has now been put up as free download. Cop this free remix today — a great addition to a chill / positive vibe playlist.
This week we have chosen three tracks for more than three genres. On the top of our list is Frontliner’s “TBA 2”, an upbeat Hardstyle tune. The list also includes Zion & Lennox’s new Reggaeton single, “Solo Tu (Remix)” featuring Nicky Jam and J Balvin. Finally, but not least, is a track off Moska’s new EP with Mad Decent, “Duma”, a mix of various genres mixed into one — an interesting and fun track to add to any weekend playlist.

D-Block and S-Te-Fan bring us their remix of Dash Berlin and Jay Cosmic’s “Here Tonight” featuring Collin McLoughlin. This release is part of the “Here Tonight remixes part 2” release, which is set to drop in August.
Artillery Music is back with some great beats this time with recently released Puerto Rican rapper, Tempo. The Latin Hip Hop track produced by Artillery’s Nely “El Arma Secreta” takes aim at another Puerto Rican artist, Tito El Bambino, where Tempo refers to him by name. In addition to Tito, Tempo takes aim at Cosculluela, mocking his flow in a part of the song.
The flow was kind of forced by Tempo to fit the instrumental but, overall the song isn’t half bad. Although the song was good, something was missing — maybe a featuring by someone?

Russian duo, Swanky Tunes, have teamed up with Raign to bring us “Fix Me”, a progressive house track with 80’s inspired melodies that will definitely get stuck in your head. The track will be available on July 21st, 2014.

Charli XCX, whose voice you’ve probably heard at least once or twice on the radio every hour, has released a remix of her single, “Boom Clap”, which is currently in the top 40 of Billboard’s “Hot 100” The remix was produced by ASTR, a New York City based producer who has worked with Big KRIT, Neon Trees and other notable artists in the past.
“Boom Clap” on iTunes featured on “The Fault in Our Stars” Movie Soundtrack
ASTR brings his unique style while still keeping some elements from the original song to the remix which combine with Charli XCX’s vocals quite well. Although this remix would technically fall under Twerk / Trap (taking advantage of the name I guess), the way the mellow melody and Charli’s vocals come together you wouldn’t realize it’s a trap remix until you hear the high hat rolls and Lex Luger climax lasers.
Still no word on when the remix will be released but, you can stream it below today!

E-Lusive and Skeets roll out with their new single, “Roll Out”, a Hardstyle track straight out the trap house! What I really enjoyed about the song is that, besides being a free download, the Hardstyle kick isn’t watered down or crappy — its actually quite nice. The trap section reminds me a lot of Baauer’s early trap style and blends in well with the Hardstyle drops too.
“Roll Out” is a great track for those who need a high energy song in their music library or that extra push at the gym. Download it today!
