Jack U makes its debut in San Diego

Fairfax, VA – This past weekend, electronic music power houses, Diplo and Skrillex, joined forces for the first time as Jack U at the Mad Decent Block Party 2013 in San Diego, California.

Jack U was announced a few months ago by Diplo as a duo between himself and Skrillex. The pairing of two big producers isn’t a new thing for the two; Diplo with Jillionaire as Major Lazer and Skrillex with Boys Noize as Dog Blood. These duos have formed to create unique music and to create a new sound for those fans who have grown tired of “the same thing” over and over again.

The duo also dropped a few new tracks during their set at MBP13 San Diego, all of which so far have no I.D. Take a listen and let us know what you think.

Our Interview with Style of Eye

What are your upcoming projects?
Shooting the video for my next single, Kids, that will be the first single from my new album.

Whats the story behind the stage name “Style of Eye”?
I wanted one project to fit all different style´s of music that I wanted to experiment with, rather than having ten different projects.

When not producing, touring or conducting business; what do you do in your free time? Any hobbies?
I do a lot of Qigong.

What sparked your interest in making music at such a young age?
I´ve always felt like I didn’t choose music, but music chose me. Was drawn into it and today I can’t really function without music.

Philosophy or words you live by?
Music not genres.

Oh’Sabi – Crazy (Original Mix) [Melbourne Bounce]

Fairfax, VA – Although the track title kind of gives it away, this original mix by Australian producer Oh’Sabi is just that, Crazy.

Mixing trance like bass lines with electro synth pads and even throwing some saxophone in there for good measure, Oh’Sabi’s Melbourne style of house, also known as Melbourne Bounce, will surely have you movin’ and groovin’. The track is currently available as a freebie, a must have for those looking for new sounds and styles of “EDM” to listen to.

Oh’Sabi’s remix of “Bumaye” was featured on our 4th episode of “Corillo Commute” our official podcast. Subscribe here.

Odesza – My Friends Never Die (Original Mix) [Chill]

Fairfax, VA – Seattle-based producer Odesza has released a new freebie, “My Friends Never Die”

The Electronica track has a hip hop feel to it with an electronic twist with sweeping pads and step-synths that’ll send shivers down your spine (in a good way). The overall feel of the track is relaxed and chill, great cruising music in my opinion. You can download the full track for free today. Let us know what you think by rating the track and leaving a comment with your thoughts below.

The single will be part of Odesza’s upcoming EP, “My Friends Never Die EP” out September 17th, 2013.

Audrio Releases His Music Video “Dreaming Wide Awake”

Fairfax, VA – Audrio, Avicii’s protege, has released a music video to his new single “Dreaming Wide Awake”

Contrary to what is the “norm” in EDM, Audrio’s electro house track music video isn’t PLUR or random compilation of shows. The music video is dark, creepy and, if you’re easily scared, it’s a wee bit terrifying and gruesome, but its well put together. Although there’s a small production error, 1:48-1:49, it does not draw away from the shear energy of the gritty synths of the electro house track.

Audrio’s single will be released on September 3rd, 2013 on Avicii’s label, LE7ELS.

Headhunterz Will Have You Seeing “Colors”

This hardstyle tune has amazing synths and club pounding bass accompanied by great vocals by Tatu that’ll have you “seeing colors”

The trap music duo released a short preview of their remix today, a little slower than the original but, it’ll still produce a “twerking” reaction from the crowd with a repetitive clap played during the drop. If you like slow-twerking, this track is a must listen/have.
