Astronaut Ft. Harry Brooks Jnr – Champions (Volant Remix) [Dubstep]

Volant Astronaut Champion

Volant remixes Astronaut’s “Champions” featuring vocals by Harry Brooks Jr creating an amazing vocal dubstep track. You cannot help but bob your head the whole time when listening to this. The uplifting basslines and synth pads combined with the great vocals great create an overall feel that makes you just fall in love with the track. This is a definite must have track especially for those who love old Adventure Club dubstep-like tracks.

Excision at Echostage This Weekend with 150K Watts of Sound

Excision Echostage

150,000 watts of sound? Yup. The first Excision show I attended was when I was covering it for Corillo Magazine at Echostage when it was still in it’s infancy. Back then, Excision only had 100,000 watts of Sound which left me shocked — it was awesome! Dubstep and Bass-heavy music is best listened to loud and 150,000 watts really gives the audience a literal feel for the music. It is a sound you can feel. If you haven’t been to an Excision show yet, you have to. Not only is the sound ridiculous, the visuals he brings with he Excision pod/stage is mind-blowing! Not to mention, Dirtyphonics & ill.Gates will be opening for Excision. All this for just $30 USD, get your tickets today.

Bass For Autism: A Charity Event & Album to Benefit Research

bass for autism

The edmDistrict, The EDM Network and a couple participating producers and DJs have come together to create a benefit called, “Bass for Autism” which, like it sounds, is a series of online events and a compilation album of Bass (DnB, Dubstep etc) tracks to benefit Autism research.

The Mixify events are free (donations encouraged, Feb. 5th and 6th), and the compilation is $9.99 on BandCamp or free from the download tab on the Bass for Autism Facebook page (released Feb. 5th). All proceeds from both go to support autism research at the Organization for Autism Research. Artists participating in Bass for Autism include Fractal, Subvibe and others.

It’s nice to see music not only helping those who are stressed out or trying to have good time but, also used to help those who are trying to make the world a better place.
