X-Vertigo Ft. The Belligerents – Ghost Bass (Bass King Remix) [Preview]

X-Vertigo feat. The Belligerents - Ghost Bass (Bass King Remix) cover

Bass King remixes X-Vertigo Attack!, X-Vertigo’s music label, second release “Ghost Bass” featuring Australian band The Belligerents. Although it is just preview, you can get a good scope of what this remix will become. The drop is not only Big Room, but the melody will get stuck in the head of anyone who listens to it (not because it’s annoying). Take a listen for yourself and let us know what you think.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Ft. Boostedkids – G.I.P.S.Y [Big Room]

Gipsy-HI-RES-600x600

Yes, finally, some Big Room house that doesn’t sound like CTRL+C & CTRL+P.

“G.I.P.S.Y” is different in that it doesn’t use the same old plug-ins and VSTs to make melodies; Dimitri, Like Mike and BoostedKids used a surprisingly old school sound in their drop, a Flute. It sounds pretty great, you can only imagine the reaction when this is played in front of the right crowd.

NERVO & Ivan Gough Ft. Beverley Knight – Not Taking This No More (Bass King vs. X-Vertigo Remix)

NERVO & Ivan Gough Ft. Beverley Knight - Not Taking This No More (Bass King vs. X-Vertigo Remix)

You may remember the names from the big hit, “Kings” featuring Golden Suns, played at almost every Festival and Radio Show since it’s release on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom label. Now Bass King and X-Vertigo are back with some new stuff, this time a remix of NERVO and Ivan Gough’s “Not Taking This No More” with vocals by Beverly Knight. NERVO’s track was transformed into a hard hitting Big Room house track with some hardstyle-like synth action going on.

This single was featured on David Guetta’s radio show/DJ mix and will be released on Spinnin Recordings soon.

DVBBS & Borgoreous – Tsunami vs Stampede: Can you tell the difference?

Tsunami Vs Stampede

Fairfax, VA – Two different tracks, two different record labels — same sounds though. Can you tell the difference between Tsunami and Stampede? Or does “Stampede” sound like Version 2.0 of Tsunami? Let us know below.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs DVBBS & Borgeous – Stampede (Preview)

Stampede DVBBS Dimetri Like Mike

Fairfax, VA – Let us begin by saying, if you like DVBBS’ “Tsunami” you’ll love this track — which isn’t necessarily a good thing either.

EDM has exploded in the last few years, due mostly to it’s expansion in the U.S. market. This has led to much of “the same thing” — producers follow trends too tightly. “Stampede” is a great example of that. There is no doubt denying “Tsunami” is a great track that makes festivals, in a somewhat literal sense, go “boom” and “Stampede” follows that trend too — a little too closely though. It’ll definitely be a big hit at shows and festivals for the remainder of the year, but some fans may confuse it for a mash-up or an edit of “Tsunami”

For a song with so much talent involved, I think this track fell a little bit short of what was expected. Still ts a great track to rage to, but it lacks originality considering it sounds like “Tsunami” and its partially produced by the same guys.

We won’t be writing a review of this single.

Firebeatz & Schella vs. Dr.Dre vs. Milk N Cookies – Still Wicked (MAKJ Edit) [Freebie]

Fairfax, VA – Makj released a mashup from his set at Tomorrowland today after posting one of those “Like This then this happens’ posts on his Fanpage.

This Mashup mixes one of the best oldschool hip hop beats by Dr. Dre with big room house — who would of thought!? The combination is great, no wonder he used it during his set at Tomorrowland which, most likely, got a pretty good response from the crowd. We hope you enjoy this mashup as much as we did.
