Dr. Kucho! & Gregor Salt Set To Release Vocal Edit to “Can’t Stop Playing
Many DJs have begun adding tech and deep house tracks to their sets and podcast episodes over the last couple months. The Dr. Kucho and Gregor Salto collaboration “Can’t Stop Playing” is one of those tracks that a lot of DJs have used in their sets. The bassline and melody are so good, they’re almost instantly recognizable, unlike a lot of deep house tracks out now. Being the great song that it is, a vocal edit was almost certain.
Sometimes vocal edits are a good thing, adding an extra umph to a track but, in this case it sounds unnecessary. The vocal edit sounds more like a forced bootleg, vocals just aren’t needed. The song is just that good on its own. Regardless, as previously stated, the bassline and melody are good enough where even adding unnecessary vocals to it doesn’t change how great this track is.
The song’s vocal edit and vocal edit Dr. Kucho remix are set to release on February 9th, 2015 via Spinnin’ Recordings, you can pre-order the two track bundle today on iTunes.

EDX – Breathin’ [Deep House]
Great track for the summer! I could definitely imagine this track being blasted in my car as I drive down on a warm summer afternoon. The relaxing and laid-back vibe this track brings in essence sums up what summer should be. “Breathin'” is a definite must have this summer. Get it on Spinnin’ on June 2nd, 2014.

Review: Swanky Tunes – Pump (Original Mix) [Single]
Drop:
Swanky Tunes set us up for a really good drop with their intro and build up. I personally believed it was going to be something utterly amazing and mind blowing because it was so good but, when it finally dropped I wasn’t so blown away. It isn’t horrible but, it’s not amazing either. Leaves me in between a “Eh” and Echostage guy “wtf”.
Originality:
I wouldn’t say it isn’t unoriginal but, it is a bit weak on the whole “creativity’ side of things. It’s missing something.
Sound Quality:
The song doesn’t sound bad but, like I said before, it’s missing something. You get so excited for what’s to come and then you’re kind of disappointed. The sound of the intro and the build-up periods are great! The only issue I have is with the ‘drop’ part, it’s a buzz kill.
Worth The Buy/Download: (Purchase Here – Beatport)
Depends, if you’re a Swanky Tunes fan sure — do your thing. I personally wasn’t in love with this track, as in it’s not a track I would put on repeat or listen to everyday. I’ve heard better tracks from Swanky Tunes and sadly this isn’t another track I would add to my library.

Borgore & Sikdope – Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse [Preview]
If “The Walking Dead” ever wanted to have a plur episode, this should be it’s theme song. Borgore and Sikdope bring us a preview of their new track, “Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse”, a sample based melody track with a huge sound. Out on Spinnin March 14, 2014.
Zedd Ft. Matthew Koma & Miriam Bryant – Find You [Extended Mix]
Another great track by Zedd. I think the only complaint I may have on this track, like some other Zedd fans have had, is the cover change by Spinnin Records. Out Feb. 28, 2013.
Shermanology & GRX – Can’t You See [Electro]
Out on Spinnin’ on March 3rd, 2014.
R3hab – Samurai (Go Hard) [Preview]
R3hab is working on releasing his second track of 2014, “Samurai”, a hard hitting electro house track with some progressive elements. There is still no word from R3hab or Spinnin’ Records on an official release date.
2014 Begins with another EDM mishap: DVBBS & VINAI
DVBBS, Vinai and Spinnin Records are preparing to launch a new track, “Raveology” This track has been promoted for some time now, since December 10th, 2013 (a long time in the fast paced world of electronic music) and is going to be released on January 13th, 2014.
In 2013 we have seen many examples of “lack of creativity” syndrome and DVBBS had a mishap last year with “Stampede” and “Tsunami”. Now that we’ve rang in the new year, we’ve got another similar situation. DVBBS, a Canadian production and DJ sibling duo, have produced a collaborative track with Vinai, also a sibling duo from Italy. This collaborative track, “Raveology” sounds great — a funky Melbourne Bounce track. What happened? Well, it sounds like an edited version of a previous Vinai track, “Hands Up”, passed through some filter. Don’t believe us? Stream both tracks below. The term “Original Mix” shouldn’t be added, “Edit” or “Remix” would be more of a better fit.

NERVO & Ivan Gough Ft. Beverley Knight – Not Taking This No More (Bass King vs. X-Vertigo Remix)
You may remember the names from the big hit, “Kings” featuring Golden Suns, played at almost every Festival and Radio Show since it’s release on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom label. Now Bass King and X-Vertigo are back with some new stuff, this time a remix of NERVO and Ivan Gough’s “Not Taking This No More” with vocals by Beverly Knight. NERVO’s track was transformed into a hard hitting Big Room house track with some hardstyle-like synth action going on.
This single was featured on David Guetta’s radio show/DJ mix and will be released on Spinnin Recordings soon.
