David Heartbreak’s bootleg of Skrillex and Alvin Risk’s latest collab, “I Tried It Out”, sounds like an official remix even though it was quickly edited and put out. The track sounds great; its great for full on raging — I can just imagine a crowd going wild once this is dropped at a show. Download it today, its a freebie from DHBK himself.
Here at Corillo Magazine, we’re all about new sounds, good sounds and just flat out cool sounds. This Crooker’s “Ghetto Guetta” EP, fills all three of those categories. Its different, which in electronic music, is a nice change of pace.
The EP is now available on Beatport via OWSLA.
Fairfax, VA – OWSLA is known for pumping out stuff that is unique, different and great to listen to. Icarus’ EP, “Steal The Sun” is no exception with a variety of styles that most electronic music aficionados will enjoy. The EP consists of 4 tracks ranging from deep full sounds to upbeat dance-able songs — a well balanced production in my opinion. If you wish to download the EP, which is available exclusively on OWSLA’s “The Nest” membership program, get it here.
Check it out below and let us know what you think.
We will have a full review up soon.
Washington, D.C. – Kill the Noise bring us his remix to the chill OWSLA hit, “Ghosts In The Machine”, by The M Machine with vocals by Penny. The remix is a gritty glitchy dubstep, a style Kill The Noise is known for, that still retains some of the relaxing pads used in the original mix of the track — overall a great combination. A great track for those days you wish to kick back, relax and enjoy the sunset with a nice cold one. Kill the Noise’s remix will be featured on the remix EP, which will be released on August 26th, 2013 on Skrillex’s label OWSLA.
This remix will also be featured in our Podcast, “Corillo Commute” subscribe today on iTunes.
Washington, D.C. – So deadmau5 has been releasing a lot of previews of his new stuff lately; little snippets here and there, but this is the first preview of a collaboration from Joel.
Like many deadmau5 tracks, there is a cinema like introduction which then leads to the Kill The Noise influenced laid-back glitch hop drop. Although it’s a glitchy track, its not too crazy, its quite calming — almost trance like. You’re reminded its Kill The Noise and Deadmau5 because of the deep “sub-sonic” bass in the background followed by the superb sounds deadmau5 is known for.
Listen to the two previews at let us know what you think. Is the song hit or miss? I personally think it’s pretty nice.
Washington, D.C. – The Brooklyn born and raised EDM producer, David Hearbreak, has released his new EP titled The Foundation. The EP is heavily influenced off the island genre of Reggae, creating a chill, laid back and surprisingly interesting final product with a wide variety of tracks based off a single genre. You can stream the full EP below. If you want to buy the EP, but aren’t sure yet check out our review of the EP here.
Washington, D.C. – The Juggernaut is back… with some dubstep!
The dubstep duo, comprised of Erik Tinajero and David Gill, have released a preview of something new they’re working on, best part is that its dubstep. After releasing a trap single, Chinese Finger Trap, the duo has begun working on “Sock Hop” a dubstep track with subsonic bass the duo is known for pumping out. Check it out and leave your thoughts about the track. We can’t wait for the official release.
