Jowell & Randy Record Songs in Puerto Rico for Their Upcoming Album & “Doxis Edition”

Washington, D.C. – Jowell & Randy who have been in Puerto Rico with Menes, Daddy Yankee, De La Ghetto, Guelo Star and our friend DJ Blass; have been recording new songs at a El Cartel Records studio. As a precursor to their upcoming commercial album, Sobredoxis, the reggaeton duo has teamed up with Musicologo & Menes to produce a “-Edition” mixtape, which the producing team is famous for, titled “Doxis Edition”

As is custom with these mixtapes hosted and produced in part by Musicologo and Menes, Daddy Yankee is featured on at least one tracks and Doxis Edition is no exception. Jowell & Randy will feature the “Big Boss” Daddy Yankee on “Mucha Soltura” which was produced by the El Cartel Records producers, Musicologo & Menes. You can preview their mixtape single below.

As DJ Blass, a prominent force in both the Reggaeton and Moombahton movements, is forming part of their recording sessions, the world renowned producer and DJ has began to record a Moombahton track with Jowell. There is still no word whether the track will form part of a DJ Blass production or a Jowell & Randy production.

Krewella – Play Harder EP (Remixes) (2012): Free Download!

Washington, D.C. – Chicago trio KREWELLA have unleashed their latest body of work, PLAY HARDER, an eight-song EP featuring a selection of banger remixes of two of their most popular tracks—“Alive” and “Killin’ It”—as well as new song “Come & Get It.” It made its debut at #6 on the iTunes Dance Chart.

PLAY HARDER is the follow-up to KREWELLA’s #1 Beatport EP released earlier this year, PLAY HARD, which also currently sits at #10 on iTunes Dance Chart. There’s an compelling range of talent who lend their skills to the Krew’s breakout productions including fresh takes from newcomers Jakob Leidholm and Mutrix, Danish and Swedish duo Pegboard Nerds, France’s Dirtyphonics and the Netherland’s Chuckie just to name a few.

On the touring front, KREWELLA continue to crisscross the nation most recently selling out CONTROL, the major electro Friday night weekly event at Avalon in Los Angeles where over 2,000 fans attended. The next round of dates includes appearances in Miami, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and more. There is a hometown Chicago show set for December 29 at the Congress Theater and KREWELLA will wrap up 2012 with two New Year’s Eve shows in Dallas and Denver. In the New Year, they will appear in such cities as Kansas City, Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Milwaukee with more major festival and club dates to be announced. “Titan”, the stadium sized 2nd single from Clockwork gets the remix treatment from some of todays hottest producers. The package includes remixes from Congorock, GTA, Moska, The Partysquad and remix contest winners Coyote Kisses! Congorock does what he does best and raises “Titan” to new heights with the biggest build of the bunch. The Partysquad transform Titan into their signature badman rave style of gabber, dutch and electro. Moska transforms the drops just enough to turn crowds upside down and contest winners Coyote Kisses deliver the now crucial trap version. Miami’s GTA round out the release taking on the duties of remixing “Titan’s” monster B-side “BBBS”. They’ve completely flipped the beat and thrown in some of the wildest synth stabs we’ve ever heard.

Toadally Krossed Out – Two Song, Arizona (2012) [Moombahton]

Washington DC – The toads are back, risen up from the swamp, they are firing on all cylinders with weird music that makes you hide under your bed sheets. “Cray” is the bastard child of a memphis rap producer and dutch hardstyle raver girl. They had the baby and shipped it to the Toads home in Wales where they raised it with dutch ovens instead of breast feeding. “Cray” is followed by “Toad Gibbons” which is another family affair. The sounds were all sampled from the toads uncles speech to the local legislature about the height of fences in their neighborhood. The uncle later died and the bill to heighten the local fences was not passed.
