Icarus – Steal The Sun EP (OWSLA) [Electronic]: Full Stream

Icarus Steal The Sun EP Cover

Fairfax, VA – OWSLA is known for pumping out stuff that is unique, different and great to listen to. Icarus’ EP, “Steal The Sun” is no exception with a variety of styles that most electronic music aficionados will enjoy. The EP consists of 4 tracks ranging from deep full sounds to upbeat dance-able songs — a well balanced production in my opinion. If you wish to download the EP, which is available exclusively on OWSLA’s “The Nest” membership program, get it here.

Throttle – Boombox (Original Mix) [Electro]

Palm Springs, CA – Monster Cat Recordings brings us one of their newest releases, “Boombox”, by 16 year old Australian producer Throttle. The disco infused electro house track was released yesterday exclusively on Beatport.

Throttle mixes piano tones and disco which gives off a mellow vibe at first then building up into a high energy electro house beat. Overall, a great track. Let us know what you think below using Facebook.

Krewella Releases Their New Single “Live For The Night”

Washington, D.C. – Chicago based trio, Krewella, has released their new single titled, “Live For The Night”

The single will be featured on their upcoming, yet to be titled, album which will be released on Columbia Records. This is Krewella’s first original track since the overwhelmingly successful production, Play Hard EP, and the wait was worth it. “Rain Man”, Krewella’s beat man (producer), created a high energy Progressive house instrumental with electro elements that Jahan & Yasmine accompany well with their great vocals.

We expect this single to be as, if not more, successful as their hit “Alive” which has hit radio waves and singles charts hard across the world. Let us know what you think of their new single below.

Daft Punk Will Release A New Album This Spring

Washington, D.C. – The rumors of a new Daft Punk album are true. According to Le Parisien, the second largest regional newspaper in France, Daft Punk have found a new record label, Sony subsidiary, Columbia, leaving EMI for their new studio album. The information was reportedly told by Guy-Manuel to his friends at a Kavinsky album release party last week.

Following in the footsteps of Depeche Mode, who also left EMI for a US-based label, who are now working on their new album as well ‘Delta Machine’ , Daft Punk is currently in the process of finalizing its contract with Sony/Columbia, slating the upcoming album’s worldwide release for sometime this spring. Aside from scoring Disney’s Tron, this marks their first official release since 2005′s Human After All, but other than their collaboration with Nile Rodgers of Chic, little else is known about the album from the two electronic producers.
