Picture: deadmau5’s hardware filled home studio at his Toronto condominium
Washington, D.C. – Last night deadmau5 began uploading various previews of tracks he is currently working and playing with, most of which were chill and ambient-like tracks which were all pretty good, but the last upload was probably one of the best so far.
Toronto based producer, deadmau5, uploaded a snippet he called, “Going Nowhere Fast”, which is a track similar to “There Might Be Coffee”, a upbeat house track with trance-like melodies. Currently working on an upcoming album, deadmau5, has been hitting the studio hard using old school and new school hardware based instruments, something deadmau5 has been known for.
Let us know what you think of his latest teaser in the comment section below.
Palm Springs, CA – Lately various producers have been producing house tracks with a big room sound which, sadly, sound almost the same. Following this trend Sohella has also released a big room house track, but its different and best of all — awesome.
When you first listen to the song, you don’t know what to expect with more than one drop, one following into another, but when the bass drop it drops. Sohella, instead of using punchy dutch drums and cliche one word phrases in the track, used a mix-mash of random songs to give the song a unique feel in a time where all big room house songs sound and feel the same. We totally recommend downloading this amazing freebie! \
Palm Springs, CA – Washington, D.C. metropolitan area producing and DJ duo, Locomotive, have a released a new freebie original track titled “Ah Bomba Clap”
The Reggaeton dembow heavy moombahton track has very energy driven build ups following into a dance-able Panamanian (“Old School” Reggaeton) dembow based moombahton drop. Did we mention it was a free download? Get it today!
Palm Springs, CA – Monster Cat Recordings brings us one of their newest releases, “Boombox”, by 16 year old Australian producer Throttle. The disco infused electro house track was released yesterday exclusively on Beatport.
Throttle mixes piano tones and disco which gives off a mellow vibe at first then building up into a high energy electro house beat. Overall, a great track. Let us know what you think below using Facebook.
Washington, D.C. – Currently based out of Los Angeles, California Musical Freedom’s newest member, Bass King, has released a new single along side French producer X-Vertigo featuring vocals by Golden Sun. The song “Kings” is both Bass King and X-Vertigo’s first release on Tiësto’s label, Musical Freedom. The melody and gritty yet mellow SAW in the background of the single accompanied by the vocals give off a feeling of pure bliss.
Washington, D.C. – Chicagoan, Kaskade, has remixed Lana Del Rey’s single off The Great Gatsby soundtrack, Young and Beautiful.
Lately, many producers have looked at Lana Del Rey’s tracks for their wonderful vocals, which are very EDM-friendly. We recently featured Cedric Gervais’ remix of Young and Beautiful on our Corillo Commute podcast, which like Kaskade’s is also a progressive house track. The progressive house remix, produced by Kaskade, is one of the best remixes of the single so far, with a similar synth to that used in his “Eyes” single.

Washington, D.C. – Chicago based trio, Krewella, has released their new single titled, “Live For The Night”
The single will be featured on their upcoming, yet to be titled, album which will be released on Columbia Records. This is Krewella’s first original track since the overwhelmingly successful production, Play Hard EP, and the wait was worth it. “Rain Man”, Krewella’s beat man (producer), created a high energy Progressive house instrumental with electro elements that Jahan & Yasmine accompany well with their great vocals.
We expect this single to be as, if not more, successful as their hit “Alive” which has hit radio waves and singles charts hard across the world. Let us know what you think of their new single below.
Washington, D.C. – KDrew, now going by Kevin Drew (his real name), has released his remix to producing duo, Vicetone’s, single Stars. Kevin Drew’s remix of the Vicetone track featuring vocals by Jonny Rose is a hard hitting house record with a big room feel. As you prepare for the second drop, like on a roller coaster, things change up on you; dropping into a trap beat. Overall the remix is great, the transition between big room house and trap is flawless and the vocals by Jonny Rose make this a must have track. Check it out for yourself below and let us know what you think.
Washington, D.C. – You may remember the name, Psychic Type, from the trap remix of Hardwell’s “Apollo” single, and they’re back with another. Toronto based Psychic Type has released his track on a remix EP simply called, “Trap Remixes EP” — a two track production where the “Open Your Eyes (Revelation)” remix is included. The track is full of energy, bass and brass (not a typo). Psychic Type is bringing in a 2003-07 Southern Hip-Hop style to the trap remix with the use of brass instruments, which is pretty legit. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
Here be bring you one of the best “Regaeton-Underground” songs of the year by El Gran Jaypee with the best Reggaeton Old School artist. Enjoy It!
