Washington DC – The movie “Mama”, directed by Guillermo Del Toro, is about two children are left alone in a home in the wilderness for five years who seem to become “wild” themselves too. An uncle takes them in once they are found then they realize that the two girls’ mother is not necessarily gone — check out the trailer for a more detailed break down. There is still no exact release date for the film, it is expected to release sometime next year.
Washington DC – Kill The Noise and Datsik, who is currently on his “Firepower Tour”, have released the remix EP to their single “Lightspeed”. The remix EP has remixes by The M Machine, Plastician and Zane Lowe — all Dubstep tracks. The EP sells for $5.99 on Beaport, still no word on when the EP will be released on iTunes or if it will be. Washington DC – Here’s Dillon Francis’ new music video of “Masta Blasta (The Rebirth)”, a remix to the original single that Dillon created when he first signed to Mad Decent.
“I’m just trying to protect my stacks / Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax,” West raps on “To The World*,” a song which also features R. Kelly. The lyric is an obvious reference to Romney’s low tax rate and refusal to release a substantive number of tax returns, on the basis of political attacks. In a recent interview, Ann Romney, the wife of GOP candidate Mitt Romney, spoke about the tax returns stating that they will not release more in fear that it will be used as “ammunition” by the opposing party.
Nicki Minaj also mentioned Romney in a song. On her and Lil Wayne’s cover of “Mercy,” Minaj raps that she was voting for the GOP hopeful (“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney / You lazy b—-es is f—ing up the economy”). Suspicions that Minaj was being sarcastic were confirmed by none other than Barack Obama, who was asked about the song in an interview and said that Minaj was playing a character. The rapper confirmed Obama’s theories in a series of ecstatic tweets.
The entirety of Cruel Summer had leaked by Thursday. A number of the songs (“New God Flow,” “Clique,” “Cold,” “Don’t Like” and “Mercy”) had already been released. It’s interesting that R. Kelly was featured, as he and Jay-Z had a very public fallout when the R&B singer walked off stage in the middle of a Best of Both Worlds Tour show at Madison Square Garden. Jay, a regular collaborator and mentor of sorts to West, also appears on the album.
Kanye West also leads BET Hip-Hop Awards 2012 Nominees with 17 nominations. 2 Chainz follows with 13 nominations and Drake is right behind with 11 for the October 9 awards show.

Washington DC – Knife Party announced a new “mini tour” bringing a little electro to the Halloween season. The tour will count on performances by Tommy Trash, Kill The Noise, Zane Lowe, Style of Eye and Mad Decent producer Bauuer. Washington DC – This video depicts field testing of the DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3). The LS3 is designed to help troops with the transport of gear that usually slows their travel through rough terrain, letting them travel easier and faster. The video shows that the LS3 is capable of doing this through rough terrain and still operate. The way in which the drone walks and looks resembles the “cow thing” in Metal Gear solid, as shown in the image below — pretty cool how fast reality is catching up to science fiction. Washington DC – The much anticipated tour for college rave fans, the Tiësto College Invasion Tour 2012 is almost here. The tour starts in the beginning of October in Syracuse, New York with some of electronic music’s biggest names; Bingo Players, Dada Life, Tommy Trash, Quintino and of course the world’s most paid and famous DJ, Tiesto. The music video to “La Formula Sigue” was filmed in Miami and the Key Islands in Florida under the direction of Marlon P, director of the music video. The video counts on cameos by Raphy Pina, owner of Pina Records, and the participation of the major veteran artists signed to Pina Records.

Washington DC – Daddy Yankee has filmed his newest music video in “El Centro Ceremonial Otomi” in the city of Temoaya, Mexico for his new single “Limbo”, another undeniable hit off his upcoming album, “Prestige”.
The video was directed by Jessy Terrero as part of the global phenomenon that will be “Prestige”, with not only the quality of music but also it’s videos. In this case, Limbo was filmed on location in natural enviroments such as exotic ruins, the jungle, and rain forests where DY is the commander staged in a sub-culture where men and women lose themselves in the Limbo.
As so, the director manages to combine the rhythm and lyrics of the song among living species that create a fantasy world around a habitat where Daddy Yankee emerges, accompanied by a corps of dancers and extras including beautiful models adding to the exotic setting.
“I wanted Limbo to invite the imagination, ignite creativity, to not be the same as always. Such the theme, as the video encourages each person to interpret the world as they see it and to create their own version of the dance. I believe we’ve made one of the best videos of my career.” says the artist who already finds himself immersed in preparation for the release of his anticipated album “Prestige” on sale 9/11. Limbo will world premiere on Vevo on September 21st.
