Mine – #Original (Original Mix) [Trap]
Cliche trap music? Eh, not so much.
Mine’s “#Original” is equivalent to a minimal style of Trap, “Trapinimal” if we had to give it a name. It gets into the essence of what makes trap music great — the percussion. Lots of bass through 808s, not as much overuse of vocal samples like most Trap and its high energy feel even though it’s a bit slow; all makes the track worthy of streaming without the feeling of disappointment afterwords.

Usher – U Don’t Have To Call (Vass Remix) [Freebie/Trap]
An old classic meets EDM trap. The remix gets a little too repetitive at times, but its not bad. The good thing is, it’s a free download from Vass — download it today.
Bass Kleph – Less Is More (Beach Club & Relic Remix) [Trap/Freebie]
Our UK friends, Beach Club and Relic, have released their remix of Bass Kleph’s “Less Is More”
This trap remix includes some tempo changes which creates a pretty unique feel to this track — it isn’t just typical trap. Its a great tune to listen to and best of all, its free! Downlod it today.
Protohype & 12th Planet – Fungus (Preview) [Trap]
We had a chance to congratulate 12th Planet on his latest EP, along side Protohype, backstage at Life In Color DC back in September and now they’re back with some new stuff.
“Fungus” is their latest collab together, a trap single off SMOG CITY Vol.2 — an album with tracks by different producers like Flich, Illskillz and many others. You can get the full album, including “Fungus”, on November 19th, 2013.
Rich Homie Quan – Type Of Way (Mayhem Edit) [Freebie]
If you’ve been on Vine the last few months, you’ve probably heard this track a couple times. When you bite into that Chipotle “It makes you feel some type of way” and when that beat drops “It makes you feel some type of way” — the song can be adapted to just anything. This Mayhem, an Atlanta based producer and DJ, edit is pretty dope and its a freebie — that probably has you “feeling some type of way”

RL Grime – Because of U [Trap]: Music Video & Free Download
Fairfax, VA – Clockwork aka RL Grime brings us his new stuff, “Because of U”
Chill, slow paced and filled with relaxing pads and rolling light melodies, “Because of U”, is a pretty nice change of pace from “regular” trap. It’s not boring, it’ll just have you “flexin'” and “cookin'” (forms of dancing to trap — if you’re not twerking) at a slower pace. Best of all, the track is free! Just download it at RL Grime’s site.
The new trap single comes accompanied by a music video too. The neon light spelling out “We Did It” is a collective that includes RL Grime and others like Shlohmo, Ryan Hemsworth, Groundislava, D33J, Nick Melons, Juj, 2KWTVR and SUS BOY. The dark music video is pretty simple, a gradual zoom on the neon sign with smoke surrounding it — don’t forget the model on top of the DJ set up.
The Disco Fries – Open Your Eyes (Revelation) (Psychic Type Remix) [Trap]
Washington, D.C. – You may remember the name, Psychic Type, from the trap remix of Hardwell’s “Apollo” single, and they’re back with another. Toronto based Psychic Type has released his track on a remix EP simply called, “Trap Remixes EP” — a two track production where the “Open Your Eyes (Revelation)” remix is included. The track is full of energy, bass and brass (not a typo). Psychic Type is bringing in a 2003-07 Southern Hip-Hop style to the trap remix with the use of brass instruments, which is pretty legit. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
Borgore Releases the “Legend” Music Video
Washington, D.C. – Israeli producer and DJ, Borgore, has released the music video to his latest single “Legend“, a crazy, to say the least, trap tune. The music video, although some what Not safe for the work place, is pretty interesting — playing on the whole rock star view of DJs now-a-days with Borgore playing the “rockstar” in the video. There are some suggestive scenes and models kissing in the video so if your mom is the room, little children are present , you’re not 18 or any combination of the three, please just listen to the audio version here.
Kat Dahlia – Gangsta (Omeguh Remix) [Electro Trap]: FREE DOWNLOAD
Washington, D.C. – The young Cuban decent Miami native artist, Kat Dahlia, has released the electronic trap remix of her latest single “Gangsta” produced by Omeguh. The remix is filled with bass driven 808’s with a heavy high energy drop. The best part of the release, besides being well put together, is that the remix is available as a free download. Listen to the remix below and click “Buy” to download or visit Kat Dahlia’s website to download.

Cazzette Release Their First Trap Track
Washington, D.C. – Trap on LE7ELS label? Yes, it happened.
The swedish EDM duo, Cazzette, released a remix to AVICII’s “Alcoholic“, a track released back when he was known as Tim Berg (before ‘he was cool’). The ‘trapleg’ remix retains elements of the original track released back in 2009 with trap elements thrown in by the duo. Although the remix isn’t amazing, dope or of “Damn Son Where’d You Find This…” worthiness, its pretty good considering this is Cazzette’s first attempt at Trap music, producing mostly electro and dubstep. Overall a pretty cool track, if you think otherwise, please feel free to leave a comment.

Hyper Crush – Visions of Coleco (Official Video) [Electro Trap]
Washington, D.C. – For their first original release of 2013, Hyper Crush is back with a brand new single entitled “Visions of Coleco”. The track is a gritty Trap banger with Indian musical influences that is unlike anything out to date. For the video, Hyper Crush linked with director Cassidy Sanders to create one of their best music videos so far complete with a Black Panther and surreal backdrops.
You can purchase the track on iTunes here.
