Daddy Yankee’s “Shaky Shaky” Goes Viral on Musical.ly

Daddy Yankee released an old school reggaeton tracked titled, “Shaky Shaky”, a few week ago and it’s popularity has blown up in that short time.

The track has been trending on the Musical.ly app, a lip-singing video and social media app, and was featured as a contest on the app as well.

In addition to the popularity on the video app, the old school track produced by DJ Urba and Rome (pronounced: Rome-eh) has been picking up traction on Spotify; reaching the #1 spot on Latin and Reggaeton playlists.

I would like to first thank the producers at Artillery Music for using 808s on this track. Similar songs using trap beats have been attempted in the Reggaeton scene in the past and few have gotten close to what this Daddy Yankee track has accomplished. The instrumental uses samples, electric guitar and acoustic guitar combined with a great percussion with reverbing bass filled 808s that create a beat that alone would make a good song purchase.

Daddy Yankee’s flow matches up well with what Nely, Tainy and other producers at Artillery Music have created. The beat wasn’t wasted and Daddy Yankee’s flow was not left in vain with a subpar beat — an almost perfect single. “Ora Por Mi” is a must have for any Daddy Yankee fan, trap beat fanatic and those who simply love having tracks they can blast on long cruising sessions. Washington, D.C. – Take a look at the behind the scenes of the Daddy Yankee concert at the MGM Grand in Foxwood, Connecticut. Daddy Yankee, before the show began, took some time out to meet Noah, a Make A Wish Foundation child, and hang out, joke around and share some laughs in the dressing room. In the video, Daddy Yankee also shares his feelings about the experience with Noah, “.. if he only knew how much motivation he gave me to go on stage, in comparison to how much I might of motivated him [Start at 2:10]”.

Daddy Yankee Will Premiere His Music Video “Perros Salvajes” Tomorrow

Miami, FL – Since the start of his career, Daddy Yankee has always strived to maintain a connection with his core fanbase, the ones from the streets, the underground movement and with them in mind came the inspiration for Perros Salvajes, a song for those who love pure reggaetón.

This Thursday December 6th, the music video will be premiered on his official YouTube channel, daddyyankeeofftv. The video directed by Carlos Martin of Digi Films, shows a raw look into the roots of this genre.

“I decided to make a video for “Perros Salvajes” for all those who love the urban genre as much as I do. With all my albums, in addition to doing videos for the singles, I also do videos for the most “street” songs so as to keep connected with the underground movement. I love this song, it’s got a unique vibe, from the moment you first hear the song you can identify it by it’s catchy rhythm.” explains the artist.
