De Oro Releases Two Freebies: Moombahcore & Electro Tracks

Washington, D.C. – Miami based producer and DJ, De Oro, has released new freebies, an original Moombahcore track titled “Revolution” and an interesting electro house bootleg of Fat Boy Slim – Star 69

The young 21 year old has worked on previous Corillo Magazine projects like the first volume of MMBTN, a moombahton mixtape hosted by DJ Blass, and has now released a grimey and dark moombahcore track that is surprisingly still danceable. The second freebie released by De Oro is his electro house bootleg to Fat Boy Slim’s “Star 69” . The bootleg is crazy; a high energy intense electro house track with a surprising amount of bass. You can download and stream both of these tracks below. Feel free to share them with friends and leave comments.

Documentary: Cumbiaton (Reggaeton & Cumbia) DJ Group “Under Style”

Washington, D.C. – A group of Mexico City DJs known as “Under Style” has come together to create a new sound based on reggaeton and cumbia that they call Cumbiaton. Ignored by the affluent crowd, and often criticized for the fashion and dance styles of their fans, the Cumbiaton DJs are super stars in their neighborhoods. We like their music, and we are fascinated by their their lifestyle and sweaty parties full of adoring teenage fans. So we tagged along with the Understyle crew as they partied Ciudad Neza.

Krewella Gets Their First #1 Single

Washington, D.C. – The dubstep trio, Krewella, have earned their first #1 single this week on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart.

Their single “Alive” has been on the charts for 32 weeks surpassing Zedd’s “Clarity” which is currently at the #2 Spot as well as other prominent names in EDM like Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia. The trio has truly grown dramatically from their humble beginnings, a “Started From The Bottom Now We Here” type story — headlining at major festivals like Ultra Music Festival in Miami and now getting their first #1 single on the charts. We’ve supported Krewella since we first launched as a magazine in late 2011 with their vocal mix to Skrillex’s “Breathe”, seeing how far they’ve come now is pretty awesome. We hope Krewella continues on their path to success and continues to blow people’s minds with their great music.

Passion Pit – Carried Away (Dillon Francis Remix) [Moombahton]

Washington, D.C. – “Tiesto” is back with some moombah!

Dillon Francis has released his remix to Passion Pit’s single “Carried Away” like his remix to Justin Timberlake’s “Suite & Tie” for free, yes as in no charge. Dillon calls his remix “moombahton on acid”, which is a pretty accurate definition of what the song sounds like, it takes you away. The song is similar to Dillon’s laid back feel moombahton released in the past with a high energy dance feel to it. You can stream and download the single below, please leave a comment with your thoughts.
