Tiesto Launches His Own Line of Headphones with AKG

Washington DC – We’ve seen pictures leaking of Tiesto’s new AKG headphones before, but now its official. The “world’s best DJ” has released a line of professional DJ headphones with AKG.

The dutch DJ and producer will release three different headphones under his line; the K67, K167 and K267. Each headphone has a different function and a different level of audio quality. A good rule of thumb is that the higher the number preceding the letter; the better the quality. The K67 is a high audio performance headphone ideal for outdoor use for DJ’s or for personal recreational use. The K167 is a step up with the same function with better noise reduction and usually reserved for DJ’s or hardcore music enthusiasts. The top of the line, the K267 is a headphone used for studio use or producers who want the best sound while creating their music.

Powerful Video: First World Problems [Cool Stuff]

Washington DC – Many of us do it, we complain about how our phones’ internet connection is too slow or how your iPhone case doesn’t match your shoes, but we forget that many people throughout the world cannot say such things. These are first world problems, the video above makes a good point — these problems are not problems at all.

The video is part of a campaign to bring clean water to people in impoverished countries of the world where clean water is scarse. The New Updated Lockitron: Keyless Entry Using Your Phone

Washington DC – Two young inventors have improved upon their own creation, the “Lockitron”. The Lockitron is a lock that connects to your phone or smart device. You can unlock or lock your doors through the internet, text or through an app on your smart phone or device. The new updated version of Lockitron allows for keyless entry to your door, in other words you simply walk up to your door and it unlocks thanks to Bluetooth 4.0.

Not only can you lock and unlock your door, but you can also find out when someone knocks your door when you’re not home — the device alerts you through your phone. If you’re a landlord or a business owner, your tenants or employees can also access the lock through their phones by adding them to the accepted users list or remove them with ease when necessary.

The All New 2013 Dodge SRT Viper

Washington DC – Dodge has unveiled it’s new 2013 SRT Viper, with various improvements off previous models. The interior in the new Dodge Viper SRT is much more luxurious and less simple like in previous models. Although the super car may seem luxurious and appealing to the eye, the car can still burn some rubber. The new Dodge Viper has 640 hp under the hood using a monstrous V-10. There is still no exact price on the new Dodge Viper, but that information should be released as the official launch date is revealed.

NASA Curiosity Rover Finds Evidence of an Ancient Stream on Mars [Cool Stuff]



Los Angeles, California — Scientists say NASA’s newest Mars rover has found signs that a stream once flowed across the surface near the site where it landed.
Curiosity touched down in a crater near the Martian equator last month. The red planet today is dusty and dry but scientists think it was once warmer and wetter.Evidence of an ancient stream came from analyzing the size and shapes of pebbles and gravel near Gale Crater. Mission scientists said Thursday it appeared the water was fast-moving and deep.
Images from space have provided hints of a watery past at Curiosity’s landing site. The latest discovery on the ground confirms that.
Curiosity is headed toward a spot where three types of terrain meet. Its ultimate destination is a mountain rising from the center of the crater.

Video: Turner Motorsport’s Frozen Gray BMW M3 & E92 M3 Racing Car

Washington DC – The Turner Motorsport race team’s two cars: Their 535-horsepower, all-motor Frozen M3 street project car, and the 2011 Continental Tire Series Championship-winning E92 M3 Race Car driven by Bill Auberlin and Paul Dalla Lana. The motorsport team focuses on grip and handling before moving onto amping up a car’s horse power which works when most of the cars they produce are meant for a racing environment.

Video: DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3) [Cool Stuff]

Washington DC – This video depicts field testing of the DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3). The LS3 is designed to help troops with the transport of gear that usually slows their travel through rough terrain, letting them travel easier and faster. The video shows that the LS3 is capable of doing this through rough terrain and still operate. The way in which the drone walks and looks resembles the “cow thing” in Metal Gear solid, as shown in the image below — pretty cool how fast reality is catching up to science fiction. Washington DC – The 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish is a 6.0 Liter V12 luxury car with a whopping 565 horsepower. The previous version of the Aston Martin Vanquish was a V8 but the new 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish has a stiffened chasis and the engine is lower to create a lower center of gravity. The new Vanquish retails from anything ranging between $180,535 – $195,895 (MSRP) depending on what accessories you ask for and purchase.
