Wisin & Yandel Cancel Their US Tour

MIAMI, FL – Grammy-winning top-selling Latin urban music duo Wisin y Yandel have been forced to withdraw from their upcoming North American concert tour alongside Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez due to unresolvable production issues. The duo was set to embark on the 20-city tour throughout the US and Canada which kicks off on July 14th, but Wisin y Yandel’s management informed them of the impossibility of producing the show they are accustomed to offering.

“It is with sadness and regret that we have decided to withdraw from the tour. Our sincerest apologies go out to our fans. We wish Jennifer and Enrique, as well as the tour, the very best. We promise to do our best to announce an upcoming US Tour in the very near future as we are as eager to be out there performing for our fans as they are to see us,” Wisin y Yandel expressed.

Wisin y Yandel currently have the #1 Latin song in the country with “Follow the Leader” (feat. Jennifer Lopez) making them the duo who has achieved the most #1s on the Billboard “Top Latin Songs” chart, having topped the list seven times. “Follow the Leader” is the first single off their highly anticipated new album “LIDERES” which is set to be released on July 3rd and is now available for presale on iTunes. Access the presale here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/preorder/lideres/id536787196.

“LIDERES” promises to be the duo’s most global production to date. Wisin y Yandel sought out to expand musically by enlisting a number of international music producers including Chris Jeday, Jonas Saeed, Pontus Soderqvist, Niclas Kings and DJ Urba to join them and longtime fellow producer Tainy in the studio. The album includes collaborations with musical superstars Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown and T-Pain among others.

“IT IS WITH SADNESS AND REGRET, THAT WE HAVE DECIDED TO
WITHDRAW FROM THE TOUR. OUR SINCEREST APOLOGIES
GO OUT TO OUR FANS. WE WISH JENNIFER AND ENRIQUE,
AS WELL AS THE TOUR, THE VERY BEST.”
