From Waka Flocka to Beenie Man, Yellow Claw’s upcoming release will not disappoint. As you can tell by the title, it’s trap but, Yellow Claw and LNY TNZ have teamed up for Hardstyle collabs before so you may hear some Hardstyle screeches here and there which are a pretty nice. My personal favorite track on this four track release is “Dancehall Soldier Ft. Beenie Man” because of the use of Brass-like sounds common in deep south trap music but, it also has some Dutch House influence and Beenie Man’s verse isn’t overbearing — it’s a nice balance of different sounds.
1. Yellow Claw & Diplo & LNY TNZ – Techno Ft. Waka Flocka Flame
2. Yellow Claw – Kaolo Pt.2
3. Yellow Claw – Never Dies Ft. Lil’ Eddie
4. Yellow Claw – Dancehall Soldier Ft. Beenie Man

This week we have chosen three tracks for more than three genres. On the top of our list is Frontliner’s “TBA 2”, an upbeat Hardstyle tune. The list also includes Zion & Lennox’s new Reggaeton single, “Solo Tu (Remix)” featuring Nicky Jam and J Balvin. Finally, but not least, is a track off Moska’s new EP with Mad Decent, “Duma”, a mix of various genres mixed into one — an interesting and fun track to add to any weekend playlist.
1. Frontliner – TBA 2 (One More Time)
2. Zion & Lennox – Solo Tu (Ft. Nicky Jam & J Balvin)
3. Moska – Duma
Moska was not shy on merging various genres into single tracks with this EP. From Moombahton to Big Room and even a little Bounce and Tech house elements this three track EP is jam packed full of genres. What I really enjoyed about the EP was how Moska went about merging all these styles without it feeling ‘boxed’, everything just flowed so well you won’t even notice when those hips will begin to move.
My personal favorite was the track for which the EP is named, “Duma” Although at times it does have a Big Room house sound, Moska didn’t over do it. The melody was like listening to 8-bit Punta or similar Afro-Latin tropical sounds — it’s a great merge of Electronic and Tropical Latin sounds. Moska really took advantage of his Colombian background on this track. If you don’t want to buy the whole EP, I would recommend “Duma” as a must have.

…Well, kind of.
The music video of Steve Aoki, Diplo and Deorro’s collab featuring Steve Bays is a bit on the NSFW side, initially one begins to wonder ‘Why is this still live on YouTube?’ but, eventually everything comes into perspective. Take a look for yourself, just make sure your boss or co-workers (or kids for that matter) aren’t looking over your shoulder for the first minute or so.

In the words of Dillon, “Cue Tiesto, Cue Fireworks and Cue Mainstage” the “Rebirth (Dillon Francis Remix)” of Without You is a progressive house tune with a big room festival feel to it. You can just imagine Tiesto or Hardwell dropping this at a show in-sync with Fireworks.
The “Without You (Remixes) EP” will be released December 10th, 2013 on Mad Decent with remixes by Flux Pavilion, Torro Torro, Henry Fong and others.
Can you say Ganja? Pretty cool music video from Major Lazer featuring Leftside, Razz & Biggy in “Jet Blue Jet”
Weed, models and trippy colorful effects all come together to make a decent music video — its like Tumblr in a music video.

Fairfax, VA – If you’ve been to a Diplo show lately, you’ve probably already heard some of these tracks. If you follow Diplo on Instagram, you’ve probably seen the cover above before. Its his new EP!
Diplo has, as always, brought some crazy new music from his various travels around the world — mixing and collaborating with different genres and producers. One of these producers was Boaz van De Beatz, a dutch producer he has started to push heavily on his label Mad Decent. Overall, the EP sounds pretty “diplo” if we can use that as an adjective. Listen to the preview below under the track listing where our staff picks are.

Fairfax, VA – Yes, its a freebie. This collaboration between well known EDM producers and a big name in Tropical music, Elephant Man, is a great gift from the EDM gods.
“Turn Around” is given out as a free download, but it’s not “half assed” like some freebies big name producers like Major Lazer sometimes put up. The free single will have you “winding it up” no matter where you’re at. The bass heavy kicks and tropical-based electronic rhythms combine for a great track that is a must have, so download it today while you still can.
Washington, D.C. – Major Lazer is back with another video, featuring Terry Crews playing Major Lazer. The music video was directed by Brandon Dermer and also guest stars Comedy Central’s “Workaholics”, Blake Anderson. Major Lazer’s partner in the music video, Knife Fight, is played by Lauren London. Unlike most music videos in EDM, this isn’t a show compilation or random cinematic scenes stitched together, the music video has a storyline. Overall, the music video is pretty interesting and looks really well made. Let us know what you think.
Washington, D.C. – Yes, another Big room sound house track, but it’s Mad Decent so you know it’s different!
Funkin’ Matt is a Norwegian DJ based in the capital, Oslo. His single “MAD” is unique in that its a big room track without xylophone-like melodies and uses a vocal-like synths with cliché rave vocals (yes, it’s cliche but it kind of works). Best of all, this track is a freebie! Did we mention the track has awesome build-ups!?
Washington, D.C. – The Washington DC metropolitan area’s very own, Gent & Jawns, have released their new single, “Turnup” for stream only. This high energy trap track will be available for free download very soon. Meanwhile, you can stream the track below as well as download their previous EP, “Holler“.
