Washington, D.C. – As many long time Reggaeton fans know, Jowell & Randy started off at Live Music, a label famous for also housing producers like DJ Giann, Mister Green and Dexter. Recently, the label, along side White Lion, has released an EPK titled “Back To The Underground” showcasing artists signed to both labels. The video includes footage of Jowell & Randy, Tony Lenta, OG Black, JQ, Falo and others.
Jowell & Randy are currently working on their album “Sobredoxis” which is set to release soon.
Washington, D.C. – Jowell & Randy who have been in Puerto Rico with Menes, Daddy Yankee, De La Ghetto, Guelo Star and our friend DJ Blass; have been recording new songs at a El Cartel Records studio. As a precursor to their upcoming commercial album, Sobredoxis, the reggaeton duo has teamed up with Musicologo & Menes to produce a “-Edition” mixtape, which the producing team is famous for, titled “Doxis Edition”
As is custom with these mixtapes hosted and produced in part by Musicologo and Menes, Daddy Yankee is featured on at least one tracks and Doxis Edition is no exception. Jowell & Randy will feature the “Big Boss” Daddy Yankee on “Mucha Soltura” which was produced by the El Cartel Records producers, Musicologo & Menes. You can preview their mixtape single below.
As DJ Blass, a prominent force in both the Reggaeton and Moombahton movements, is forming part of their recording sessions, the world renowned producer and DJ has began to record a Moombahton track with Jowell. There is still no word whether the track will form part of a DJ Blass production or a Jowell & Randy production.
Puerto Rico – Yesterday, the Puerto Rican artist Randy ‘Nota Loca’ mentioned the “King” of Reggaeton, Don Omar on twitter. Randy suggested a new featuring between the three; Jowell & Randy and Don Omar. The song, if completed, is expected to be on the duo’s next album.
The album previously known as,”El Momento 2″, is the next album the duo is currently in the process of organizing. The name of the album changed after Jowell & Randy had a meeting with their record company executives and staff, WY Records; Wisin & Yandel’s label. The outcome of the meeting was a totally different take on the duo’s next album, the album will have a unique name, photoshoot and of course songs. The duo is expected to announce part of the album’s track list very soon. It is expected to be a very successful album, like its predecessor, “El Momento”.
