Fairfax, VA – Audrio, Avicii’s protege, has released a music video to his new single “Dreaming Wide Awake”
Contrary to what is the “norm” in EDM, Audrio’s electro house track music video isn’t PLUR or random compilation of shows. The music video is dark, creepy and, if you’re easily scared, it’s a wee bit terrifying and gruesome, but its well put together. Although there’s a small production error, 1:48-1:49, it does not draw away from the shear energy of the gritty synths of the electro house track.
Audrio’s single will be released on September 3rd, 2013 on Avicii’s label, LE7ELS.
Washington, D.C. – Major Lazer is back with another video, featuring Terry Crews playing Major Lazer. The music video was directed by Brandon Dermer and also guest stars Comedy Central’s “Workaholics”, Blake Anderson. Major Lazer’s partner in the music video, Knife Fight, is played by Lauren London. Unlike most music videos in EDM, this isn’t a show compilation or random cinematic scenes stitched together, the music video has a storyline. Major Lazer has released the music video to his “Bubble Butt” single off his album Free the Universe. The track features 2 Chainz, Bruno Mars, Tyga and Mystic — none of which cameo in the video, BUTT there are a lot of BUTTS in the music video (Yes, I know you see what I did there). The reason for the NSFW tag is the amount of twerking in video, nothing new for Major Lazer and Diplo whose shows are filled with it, so it was expected. Washington, D.C. – The Puerto Rican artist or “Reggaetonero”, Jadiel, has released the music video to his song “Ahora Te Vas”. The slow-jam reggaeton song formed part of El Cartel Records producers, Musicologo and Menes’ mixtape “El Imperio Nazza – Gold Edition“. According to Jadiel, he was not expected the song to turn into a hit with crowds singing along to the song during shows in Latin America. The song’s success led Jadiel to release the music video as a dubbed live performance video, stating that the crowd’s reaction to the song was the reason behind the set up of the video.
