Video: Google Nexus 10 Tablet

Washington DC – The new Google Nexus 10 is an iPad sized competitor for Apple in the Tablet market. The 10.1 inch device is much thinner than previous Android OS running tablet models made by other companies as seen in the comparison photo below. The screen resolution of the device is 2560×1600 pixel and 298.9 pixels-per-inch on the 10 inch screen. The inner workings of the tablet include 2GB of RAM, 1.7 GHz processor and 16GBs of internal storage as well as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and WiFi. The Nexus 10 tablet comes equipped with a 5.0MP rear camera.

These guys put an iPhone 5 in Agua Regia (nitro-hydrochloric acid), which is meant to dissolve Noble Metals or “Precious” metals like Gold ans Platinum and surprisingly the iPhone continues to work for a little while. The New Updated Lockitron: Keyless Entry Using Your Phone

Washington DC – Two young inventors have improved upon their own creation, the “Lockitron”. The Lockitron is a lock that connects to your phone or smart device. You can unlock or lock your doors through the internet, text or through an app on your smart phone or device. The new updated version of Lockitron allows for keyless entry to your door, in other words you simply walk up to your door and it unlocks thanks to Bluetooth 4.0.

Not only can you lock and unlock your door, but you can also find out when someone knocks your door when you’re not home — the device alerts you through your phone. If you’re a landlord or a business owner, your tenants or employees can also access the lock through their phones by adding them to the accepted users list or remove them with ease when necessary.

NASA Curiosity Rover Finds Evidence of an Ancient Stream on Mars [Cool Stuff]



Los Angeles, California — Scientists say NASA’s newest Mars rover has found signs that a stream once flowed across the surface near the site where it landed.
Curiosity touched down in a crater near the Martian equator last month. The red planet today is dusty and dry but scientists think it was once warmer and wetter.Evidence of an ancient stream came from analyzing the size and shapes of pebbles and gravel near Gale Crater. Mission scientists said Thursday it appeared the water was fast-moving and deep.
Images from space have provided hints of a watery past at Curiosity’s landing site. The latest discovery on the ground confirms that.
Curiosity is headed toward a spot where three types of terrain meet. Its ultimate destination is a mountain rising from the center of the crater.

Washington DC – The recent release of the new iPhone 5 worldwide yesterday has brought a lot of attention to Apple lately especially since the pre-ordering of the new phone sold out in less than an hour. Apple unveiled not only a new phone, but a new iOS update (iOS6) and as you’ve have already read by seeing the title; new ads. The ads focus on the key features of the iPhone 5, mostly hardware updates. Video: DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3) [Cool Stuff]

Washington DC – This video depicts field testing of the DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3). The LS3 is designed to help troops with the transport of gear that usually slows their travel through rough terrain, letting them travel easier and faster. The video shows that the LS3 is capable of doing this through rough terrain and still operate. The way in which the drone walks and looks resembles the “cow thing” in Metal Gear solid, as shown in the image below — pretty cool how fast reality is catching up to science fiction.
