Washington DC – The new 2013 Porsche Boxter sells for $49,500 USD and comes in a variety of colors and a plethora of accessories and options to suit each driver individually. The 2013 Boxster also comes in a sport edition, the Boxster S which retails for around $60,000 USD. Porsche has also added the option of their new voice recognition media system — Porsche Communication Management which can help the drive make phone calls and change songs without being distracted from the road.

Video: Turner Motorsport’s Frozen Gray BMW M3 & E92 M3 Racing Car

Washington DC – The Turner Motorsport race team’s two cars: Their 535-horsepower, all-motor Frozen M3 street project car, and the 2011 Continental Tire Series Championship-winning E92 M3 Race Car driven by Bill Auberlin and Paul Dalla Lana. The motorsport team focuses on grip and handling before moving onto amping up a car’s horse power which works when most of the cars they produce are meant for a racing environment.

Video: DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3) [Cool Stuff]

Washington DC – This video depicts field testing of the DARPA Legged Squad Support System (LS3). The LS3 is designed to help troops with the transport of gear that usually slows their travel through rough terrain, letting them travel easier and faster. The video shows that the LS3 is capable of doing this through rough terrain and still operate. The way in which the drone walks and looks resembles the “cow thing” in Metal Gear solid, as shown in the image below — pretty cool how fast reality is catching up to science fiction. Video: Nokia Lumia 820 Windows Phone 8

Washington DC – The 4.87 inches tall, 2.69 inches wide, and 0.39 inch thick Nokia Lumia phone is the smallest of the Lumia phones (820 and 920). The Lumia 820 will be using a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor to run the new Windows 8 Mobile Software. Nokia Lumia phones have dominated the Windows Phones market ever since the launch of the Lumia 920 running on Windows 7 Mobile. Look at all the cool colors? Well the back covers of the phones can be switched out and replaced with a color of your choosing so the headache of choosing a single color is no longer an issue, a great option for those who love to use their phone as an accessory (yes people do that).
The phone is equipped with a 8-megapixel camera with a LED flash and a 4X Digital Zoom capable of recording in 1080p video. As for talk time and battery life, the Nokia Lumia 820 uses a 1,650mAh battery which according to Nokia last 8 to 14 hours (depending on use of course). Another interesting feature about the battery is its ability to be wirelessly charged with the recharging pad (sold separately). We have yet to receive information regarding its base price and release date but, it should be released soon. It is expected to not be as expensive as most smartphones, as it is considered to be a “mid range” priced phone.

Washington DC – The 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish is a 6.0 Liter V12 luxury car with a whopping 565 horsepower. The previous version of the Aston Martin Vanquish was a V8 but the new 2012 Aston Martin Vanquish has a stiffened chasis and the engine is lower to create a lower center of gravity. The new Vanquish retails from anything ranging between $180,535 – $195,895 (MSRP) depending on what accessories you ask for and purchase.

Nokia Announces a Windows 8 Phone for September

Washington DC – After Apple announces its iPhone 5 will be available September 12th, 2012, a phone that will retail for $800.00, the finnish company Nokia has announced that it too will be releasing a new phone in Q4 2012. The new phone, according to Nokia, will be running on Windows 8 OS. Nokia has released what many view as the best windows phone yet, the Lumia 900 Windows 7 phone, many expect the same feedback if not better feedback with the release of the Nokia Windows 8 phone.The phone is expected to release late 2012 in time for holiday shopping.
